Atlanta Gear Works, Inc. is excited to celebrate our 30th anniversary.  We were founded in 1988 to provided power transmission solutions to industry and have continued to add products and capabilities to better serve our customers. Thank you to all of our customers and employees for making this possible.  We are very excited about the next 30 years! History We began working with the paper industry to supply line shaft power transmission equipment. In addition to the paper industry, we now provide products and services to all industry including rubber & tire plants, power plants, steel mills, cement mills, chemical processors, fiber mills, and wastewater plants. At Present As demand grew, we moved to our current location in Dawsonville, Georgia. After an addition in 2005, we now have 34,000 square feet situated on 2.3 acres with 26 feet under crane hook and several cranes with the capability of lifting up to 45-tons. All of our off-site services are performed at this location. AGW was Recertified for 2017-2019 as a Timken Certified Bearing Shop

After an extensive audit of our process and equipment and additional training of Atlanta Gear Works personnel, we are proud to receive the Timken Bearing Silver Level Certification. This certification is reserved for an exclusive group of bearing maintenance companies who have demonstrated solid processes and the appropriate equipment in place to ensure proper bearing maintenance. This process involved an intense pre-audit by Timken Bearings, followed by personnel training and a post audit process. The rigorous evaluation documented the quality of our processes and equipment that we have in place to store, remove, install and maintain bearings.
